Nothing Phone 3 Review: Beautiful Design, But Worth the Premium?

Nothing burst onto the smartphone scene with radical transparency and Glyph LED theatrics. The Phone 3 refines that vision with flagship-tier internals for the first time.

Design: Nothing Does It Better

The Nothing Phone 3 features an evolved transparent back with more intricate internal details visible through the glass. The Glyph Interface has expanded to 26 LED zones that can display caller ID, notification previews, and live progress bars for delivery apps. It’s genuinely useful and endlessly customizable.

Display

The 6.67-inch LTPO OLED with 120Hz adaptive refresh and 2000 nits peak brightness is top-tier. Nothing uses a flat display — no curved edges — which we appreciate for improved grip and fewer accidental taps.

Camera

Nothing finally equipped the Phone 3 with competitive camera hardware — a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor with OIS. Results are genuinely impressive in daylight, competitive with Pixel and Samsung in the same price bracket. Low light is good but not class-leading.

Nothing OS 3.0

The custom Android skin remains one of the cleanest, most thoughtfully designed UI implementations out there. Dot matrix aesthetics, cohesive iconography, and minimal bloatware. Three years of OS updates promised.

Verdict

The Nothing Phone 3 is the most complete phone Nothing has ever made. If you value design and software polish as much as raw specs, it deserves serious consideration over more conventional flagships.

Score: 8.3/10
