Mahindra Teases Scorpio N-Based Pickup Truck Ahead of August 14 Global Debut

Mahindra has teased its Scorpio N based pickup truck ahead of a confirmed August 14 global debut, revealing a panoramic sunroof, Twin Peaks styling, and a Scorpio N derived cabin.

Mahindra dropped a fresh teaser for its Scorpio N based pickup truck on August 12, confirming a global debut just two days later on August 14. Posted on Mahindra Automotive’s official X account, the 40 second clip is the clearest look yet at the production ready truck, and it leans heavily on the design language of the Global Pik Up concept Mahindra showed off earlier.

The teaser shows a double cab version, though Mahindra is widely expected to also offer a more utilitarian single cab variant aimed at commercial and fleet buyers, similar to how the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V Cross split their own lineups.

What the teaser actually reveals

Up front, the pickup carries Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo on a tall, upright grille, flanked by slim all LED headlamps and matching LED daytime running lights. A front facing camera sits just beneath the badge, a placement that suggests Mahindra could equip the truck with the same 360 degree, or even 540 degree under bonnet, camera system already offered on the 2026 Scorpio N. At the back, vertically stacked LED tail lamps bookend a tailgate with MAHINDRA lettering spanning its full width.

Inside, the cabin borrows heavily from the updated Scorpio N: a large portrait style touchscreen, a digital driver’s display, a three spoke steering wheel similar to the one seen on the Vision T concept, and rotary dials for dual zone climate control. A panoramic sunroof is also visible in the teaser, a genuine first for any Mahindra pickup. Reports ahead of the reveal also point to Level 2 ADAS being offered, which would be a first for this segment in India.

What we expect on the mechanical side

Mahindra has not confirmed powertrain details yet, but the truck is widely reported to carry the Scorpio N’s 2.2 litre diesel engine, tuned for around 172 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, with both manual and automatic transmission options and four wheel drive. None of this is official until Mahindra says so tomorrow, so treat these figures as informed expectation rather than fact for now.

Pricing is even less settled. Estimates floating around ahead of launch range anywhere from about ₹16 lakh to ₹26 lakh depending on variant, but Mahindra has given no official word, and a range that wide is really just industry guesswork until the actual reveal.

Why this matters

Once launched, the Scorpio N pickup becomes Mahindra’s flagship global pickup truck, stepping directly into a lifestyle pickup segment in India that currently belongs almost entirely to the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu’s V Cross and Hi Lander. Mahindra is positioning it as a genuine rival to both, and the brand’s own manufacturing scale and dealer network in India could make this a far more serious contender than the segment has seen before.

The Spec’d will have full pricing, variants, and real world specs the moment Mahindra makes them official on August 14.
