How We Work

Don’t guess. Get Spec’d. That’s the whole idea, so here’s where our numbers come from and what we do when they don’t agree.

Prices

Ex-showroom prices come from the makers’ own price lists and configurators wherever they publish them, and from cross-checked listings where they don’t. On-road prices are worked out from each state’s road tax rules, with insurance shown as an estimate.

Specs

Every spec sheet is checked against more than one source. When two sources disagree, and they often do, the page says so in its source notes instead of quietly picking one.

Real-world figures

We don’t run a test fleet. When a page or a story quotes a real-world number, like tested mileage or range, it names who measured it. Claimed figures are always labelled as claimed.

Reviews

Our reviews weigh the verified numbers, the full variant line-up and the price, then tell you which variant we’d actually buy. No maker pays for a verdict here.

Corrections

Numbers change and we sometimes get one wrong. Email [email protected] with the page and the figure, and we’ll check it and put it right.
