The Spec'd take

Why it stands out

  • 505 Nm of torque at the rear wheel and a 120 km/h top speed give the Shockwave serious off-road pulling power for an electric enduro
  • 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels with proper enduro rubber are built for trails, not just gravel paths
  • 200 mm front and 180 mm rear suspension travel is close to what dedicated off-road bikes offer
  • Switchable dual-channel ABS and 4-mode traction control let riders turn off electronic aids for technical terrain

Worth knowing

  • Ultraviolette has not announced an India price; older Rs 1.5 to 1.75 lakh estimates predate its move to a new 100V platform
  • Delayed twice since its March 2025 reveal and now targeted for Q1 2027, with Ultraviolette yet to confirm whether specifications change on the new 100V architecture
  • No battery capacity or range figure is published on Ultraviolette's own Shockwave page; the 165 km IDC claim comes only from Indian listings
  • At 120 kg with no charging network built out yet, long off-road rides will need careful route planning
