The Access 125 Has ABS. The Activa 125 Still Doesn’t.
Oct 9, 2026The Spec'd take
Why it stands out
- Rally styling with real Dakar heritage behind it: a taller windscreen, knuckle guards and rally-inspired bodywork, ready for the highway as well as the trail
- A 5-inch TFT dash with Honda RoadSync brings turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts, which the cheaper XR300L does without
- Honda Selectable Torque Control and switchable 2-channel ABS, plus disc brakes at both ends, give it a modern safety kit for a bike at around Rs 2 lakh
- A 13-litre fuel tank, nearly double the XR300L's 7.8 litres, makes weekend touring far more realistic
- Shares the XR300L's 293.5 cc air-cooled, oil-cooled engine, long-travel suspension and 21-inch and 18-inch wire-spoke wheels
Worth knowing
- Honda has not yet published India power and torque, or weight, seat height and ground clearance, so how tall and heavy it really is remains unknown
- Bookings are open, but deliveries only begin after Honda unlocks the full spec sheet in Q3 FY 2026-27 (October to December 2026)
- Expect it to be heavier and taller than the XR300L, thanks to the larger tank, windscreen and extra equipment
- At Rs 2.08 lakh ex-showroom Bengaluru it costs Rs 25,000 more than the XR300L, so you are paying mainly for the bigger tank, the TFT and the rally bodywork
