Raul Fernandez Leads All-Aprilia Podium Sweep as MotoGP Returns to Silverstone

Why it stands out
- A proper maxi-scooter look for the money: a large front apron, a windscreen, a Tripod LED headlamp and 14-inch alloy wheels where the old SXR had 12-inchers.
- It shares the new hp-e engine family and platform of the SR 125: a 124.45 cc single with 10.6 PS and 10.4 Nm that is E20-ready and BS6 OBD-II Stage B compliant.
- At Rs 1.10 lakh ex-showroom it sits only a little above the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, its nearest maxi-style rival.
- A 220 mm front disc, a telescopic fork and a rear shock with five preload steps give it more hardware than a basic commuter scooter.
- Three colours to choose from: Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White.
Worth knowing
- It makes do with a Combined Braking System and no ABS, which only the SXR GT 175 gets.
- The 5-inch cluster is a plain LCD, so Bluetooth, call and music control and turn-by-turn navigation are 175-only.
- Aprilia has not yet published the weight, dimensions, seat height or fuel tank size, so key practicality figures are still missing.
- Indian launch coverage describes these as special launch prices, so expect the price to change.
- The rear brake is a 140 mm drum.
