Norton Manx R Preview: TVS-Owned British Legend Returns With a 206 HP V4 Superbike
Jul 30, 2026The Spec'd take
Why it stands out
- A 1200cc 72 degree V4 with 206 bhp and 130 Nm puts it right in hyper-naked territory, with a phased-pulse firing order for real character
- Semi-active suspension co-developed with Marzocchi reads the road in real time, something most naked rivals keep for their priciest trims
- Brembo Hypure calipers plus cornering ABS, traction, wheelie and slide control make all that pace approachable
- Properly modern kit: an 8 inch touchscreen TFT, keyless access, cornering cruise control and a quickshifter
- Shares its clean, fastener-free design and single-sided swingarm with the Manx R, so it looks special even parked
Worth knowing
- Not launched or priced in India yet; the only price out there is a BikeWale estimate of Rs 20 to 25 lakh
- Norton has not published weight, seat height, fuel tank size or dimensions for the Manx yet
- Norton India lists Base, Mid and Top trims but does not say what each adds, so it is unclear which get the carbon wheels and bodywork
- A brand-new name in India with no dealer network yet; TVS says its premium retail channel only opens in Q2 FY27
- Up against established hyper-nakeds like the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and KTM 1390 Super Duke R that already have service backing here
