Tata’s ₹3.35 Lakh EV Offer Isn’t on the Nexon EV

Tata's advertised ₹3.35 lakh EV discount is on outgoing stock, not the current lineup. Here is what each Tata EV actually gets this October.

Tata is advertising up to ₹3.35 lakh off its electric cars this October, and almost every roundup this month leads with that number. But the Tata EV actually sitting in showrooms today, the Nexon EV, Tata’s best-selling electric car, gets a real discount of just ₹45,000. The headline figure belongs to a car Tata has already stopped building in that form.

That is the pattern across most of the lineup. The big numbers are real, but they sit on outgoing stock that is being cleared out, not on the cars you would actually drive home. Only one Tata EV gets a genuinely large discount on its current version.

What Tata’s October EV Offers Actually Cover

Three independent reports (Autocar India, Business Today, and dealer-sourced roundups from Spinny and Auto Punditz) agree on the shape of this month’s Tata EV offers, valid through 31 October 2026 and varying by city and dealer stock:

ModelAdvertised maximumWhat it actually applies to
Tata Curvv EVUp to ₹3.35 lakhOutgoing pre-SeriesX stock only
Tata Punch EVUp to ₹1.45 lakhOutgoing pre-facelift stock only
Tata Tiago EVUp to ₹1.45 lakhOutgoing pre-facelift stock only

The Nexon EV Gets the Smallest Discount of the Lineup

The Nexon EV is the Tata EV most buyers actually want this month, and it is the one getting the least. Its ₹45,000 maximum breaks down to a ₹10,000 cash discount plus up to ₹35,000 in exchange or scrappage bonus, the same structure Autocar India and Spinny both report.

On The Spec’d’s on-road price page, the base Creative+ MR 30 comes to about ₹13.23 lakh on the road in Mumbai (₹12.49 lakh ex-showroom), roughly ₹22,229 a month on 20% down over five years at 9.5% interest. ₹45,000 off that is about 3.4%, a fraction of what the Curvv EV and Harrier EV headlines promise. See every Nexon EV variant and spec, or the Nexon EV vs XUV 3XO EV comparison.

The ₹3.35 Lakh Number Is on a Car Tata Barely Sells Anymore

The Curvv EV carries this month’s biggest headline, but Autocar India’s breakdown is specific about where it lands: the ₹3 lakh cash discount plus a ₹35,000 exchange bonus applies only to pre-SeriesX Curvv EV units, the version Tata sold before its May 2026 update. The current SeriesX Curvv EV, the one on dealer floors now, gets a maximum of ₹65,000: a ₹35,000 exchange or scrappage bonus plus a ₹30,000 loyalty incentive.

The Spec’d’s own price page confirms the current SeriesX car is what’s actually sold today: the Accomplished X 55 starts at ₹17.19 lakh ex-showroom, ₹18.11 lakh on the road in Mumbai, near ₹30,430 a month on the same terms. No catalogue, ours or anyone else’s, lists a cheaper pre-SeriesX Curvv EV as a current model. If a dealer offers you ₹3.35 lakh off a Curvv EV, ask which version it actually is.

Punch EV and Tiago EV: Same Story, Smaller Numbers

Tata’s two cheapest EVs follow the identical pattern. Both the Punch EV and Tiago EV advertise up to ₹1.45 lakh off this month, and in both cases every outlet we checked, Autocar India, Business Today, Spinny and carhp.in, ties that figure specifically to pre-facelift, outgoing stock:

Model, outgoing variantDiscountWhat it’s made of
Punch EV Long Range (35 kWh)Up to ₹1.45 lakh₹1.1 lakh cash + up to ₹35,000 exchange/scrappage
Punch EV Medium Range (25 kWh)Up to ₹1.25 lakh₹90,000 cash discount
Tiago EV XT Long Range (24 kWh)Up to ₹1.45 lakh₹70,000 cash + ₹50,000 intervention + up to ₹25,000 exchange
Tiago EV Medium Range (19 kWh)Up to ₹65,000₹40,000 cash discount

None of the reports we checked list a separate discount for the current facelift Punch EV or Tiago EV, the versions priced from ₹9.79 lakh and ₹6.99 lakh ex-showroom respectively on our own price pages. If you want this year’s model rather than leftover stock, don’t expect the lakh-plus number to follow you to the showroom.

The Harrier EV Is the One Real Deal This Month

Autocar India’s variant names for the Harrier EV offer, Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+ and the Empowered AWD Stealth ACFC, match the current lineup on The Spec’d’s catalogue exactly, so this discount sits on a car you can order new. The Adventure trim gets up to ₹2.5 lakh, and the pricier Fearless+ and Empowered trims get up to ₹2.75 lakh.

Here is what each Tata EV actually costs on the road in Mumbai this month, by The Spec’d’s own city price pages, and what the advertised maximum discount works out to as a share of that on-road price:

ModelOn-road price, MumbaiEMI (20% down, 5 yrs, 9.5%)Max discount as % of on-road price
Tata Tiago EV₹7.37 lakh₹12,376/month~8.8% (outgoing only)
Tata Punch EV₹10.27 lakh₹17,253/month~14.1% (outgoing only)
Tata Nexon EV₹13.23 lakh₹22,229/month~3.4%
Tata Curvv EV₹18.11 lakh₹30,430/month~3.6% (current stock)
Tata Harrier EV₹22.89 lakh₹38,457/month~12.0% (current stock)

Lined up this way, the Harrier EV and Nexon EV are the two models where the discount you see advertised is the discount you’ll actually get at a dealer today. Everywhere else in the lineup, the biggest percentage savings sit on cars that are already on their way out of the showroom.

What This Means If You Are Buying This Week

If a Tata dealer quotes you ₹3.35 lakh off an EV this month, the first question isn’t how much, it’s which car. The answer is almost always the one that isn’t on the floor anymore.

Buyers who specifically want this year’s Curvv EV, Punch EV or Tiago EV should budget on the ex-showroom prices The Spec’d already tracks, not this week’s festive headline numbers. Buyers flexible on which EV they take home have a real reason to check outgoing pre-facelift Punch EV and Tiago EV stock, where the lakh-plus savings are genuine, if the colour and variant you want are still sitting in a dealer’s yard. See every electric SUV in India the Nexon EV and Harrier EV compete against.

Does Tata’s ₹3.35 lakh EV discount apply to the current Curvv EV?

No. Autocar India’s October 2026 breakdown ties the full ₹3.35 lakh figure to pre-SeriesX Curvv EV stock that Tata updated in May 2026. The current SeriesX Curvv EV gets a maximum of ₹65,000 this month.

Which Tata EV has the best real discount in October 2026?

The Harrier EV, with up to ₹2.75 lakh off on its current Fearless+ and Empowered trims, ₹2.5 lakh on the Adventure. Unlike the Curvv EV, Punch EV and Tiago EV headline numbers, this one sits on the car you’d actually drive away in today.

How much can I save on a new Tata Nexon EV this month?

Up to ₹45,000 across all variants, made up of a ₹10,000 cash discount and up to ₹35,000 in exchange or scrappage bonus. That’s the smallest maximum discount anywhere in Tata’s current EV lineup.
