Sep 2, 2026The Spec'd take
Why it stands out
- Two 260 kW motors give up to 550 PS and 850 Nm, the most torque of any Range Rover Sport, and Land Rover says torque ramps up 50 percent faster than in the Range Rover Electric
- 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds with Dynamic Launch Mode, which Land Rover says matches the P540 V8 Range Rover Sport (0 to 60 mph in as little as 4.3 seconds)
- Built to feel sporty: a body 61 percent stiffer and a centre of gravity 73 mm lower than the plug-in hybrid, with Electronic Active Roll Control and All Wheel Steering on 550 PS models
- Up to 609 km of WLTP range from a 118.5 kWh battery, and 800 V charging that can add up to 220 km in as little as 10 minutes
- Keeps the off road tricks: 900 mm wading depth, 45 degree climbs, up to 2.5 tonnes of towing and Single Pedal driving
Worth knowing
- No India price yet: Land Rover India opened bookings in September 2026, and Autocar India expects a price around Rs 2.40 to 2.50 crore when it arrives as a full import in early 2027
- The 609 km range and 4.5 second figures on Land Rover India's page are manufacturer's estimates that it says will be replaced by certified figures
- Land Rover India and Land Rover's global release disagree on fast charging: India says up to 300 km in 10 minutes and 10 to 80 percent in as little as 10 minutes, the global release says 220 km in 10 minutes and about 22 minutes. Wait for certified India figures
- Only the Autobiography and First Edition are listed for the electric Sport in India, so there is no entry level version to choose
