Festive season 2026 is officially underway, and the discount sheets from Tata, Maruti and Hyundai are already out. Here is what is actually on the table this month, before the bigger Navratri and Diwali rounds land.
If you have been putting off booking a car because “festive offers are coming,” they are here. Onam kicked things off in August, and Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri and Diwali will keep them rolling through November. The real question is not whether there is a discount, it is whether it is a straight cash discount or something you have to qualify for, like an exchange bonus or a corporate ID.
Tata: up to ₹2.25 lakh, but check if it applies to your state
Tata Motors kicked off its Onam campaign in Kerala with benefits stretching across its ICE and EV range, alongside new special editions like the Sierra Jubilee Edition and the Nexon CAMO. The headline number, ₹2.25 lakh, is on the Harrier EV and includes a ₹1 lakh loyalty bonus plus free insurance, so it only applies if you are trading in an existing Tata.
| Model | Festive benefit (up to) |
| Altroz | ₹54,500 |
| Nexon (ICE) | ₹72,500 |
| Nexon EV | ₹60,000 |
| Curvv (ICE) | ₹77,500 |
| Curvv EV | ₹55,000 |
| Harrier / Safari (ICE) | ₹47,000 |
| Harrier EV | ₹2,25,000 |
| Sierra | ₹30,000 loyalty bonus |

This particular campaign is running through Tata’s Kerala network, so if you are elsewhere, ask your dealer whether the same numbers apply, Tata usually mirrors regional campaigns nationally within a few weeks once Ganesh Chaturthi hits.
Maruti: small cars get real cash, not just exchange bonuses
Maruti’s August offers are useful because a chunk of the benefit is straight cash discount, not conditional on scrapping your old car. On the Victoris hybrid, for instance, ₹20,000 is pure cash on top of exchange, corporate and loyalty add-ons that can take the total to ₹1.35 lakh. One thing to watch: you can claim either the exchange bonus or the scrappage bonus, not both.
| Model | Total benefit (up to) |
| Victoris (hybrid) | ₹1,35,000 |
| Brezza | ₹55,000 |
| Alto K10 | ₹52,500 |
| WagonR | ₹52,500 |
| Swift | ₹40,000 |
| Celerio | ₹42,500 |

If you have been eyeing the turbo Brezza we reviewed recently, ask your dealer whether these benefits actually stack on it, they usually do not on brand-new launches.
Hyundai: Creta gets the biggest single-model cut
Hyundai’s Creta, India’s best-selling SUV, is carrying benefits of up to ₹1 lakh this month on petrol and N Line trims, while diesel variants only get ₹10,000, so the fuel type you pick changes the math a lot. If you want the full spec sheet and current on-road price before comparing it against these numbers, the Creta’s catalog page has it.
| Model | Discount (up to) |
| Creta (petrol/N Line) | ₹1,00,000 |
| Verna | ₹95,000 |
| Alcazar | ₹75,000 |
| Grand i10 Nios | ₹70,000 |
| Exter | ₹55,000 |
| Creta Electric | ₹50,000 |
| i20 | ₹45,000 |
The pattern across all three brands: the sticker discount looks big, but a large chunk usually needs an exchange, a corporate ID or a loyalty trade-in to unlock. Ask your dealer for the pure cash-discount number first, that is the one you can bank on regardless of what you are trading in.
None of these are final numbers either. Ganesh Chaturthi in September and Navratri-Diwali in October and November typically bring bigger, nationwide top-ups on whatever is live right now, especially on EVs. If you are financing the purchase, run the numbers on an EMI calculator before booking, a lower on-road price does not always mean a lower EMI once tenure and down payment shift.
Bottom line: these are real, dealer-confirmed offers as of mid-August 2026, not manufacturer wish lists. But they vary by city and stock, so treat every number here as a starting point for negotiation, not a guaranteed price.
