BMW’s F 450 RR Is a Baby S 1000 RR, and It’s Made in India
Oct 16, 2026The Spec'd take
Why it stands out
- 175 kg ready to ride with 47.6 PS, and it takes its looks from BMW's S 1000 R
- Cornering ABS Pro, traction control, Dynamic Brake Control and heated grips come standard, even on the Base
- Proper hardware for the class: a Brembo four-piston front caliper, a 43 mm KYB upside-down fork and a 14-litre tank BMW says is good for over 350 km
- A tall, close-set handlebar and a 790 mm seat (775 mm with the accessory low seat) make it easy to live with every day
Worth knowing
- No India price or launch date yet: BMW Motorrad India has announced neither
- The quickshifter and adjustable fork start from the Exclusive version, and the Easy Ride Clutch is only standard on the top M Sport
- Rivals like the Aprilia Tuono 457 and KTM 390 Duke already make similar power, so the BMW has to win on equipment and price
- Only two colours: Cosmic Black on the Base and Exclusive, Snaefell White / M Motorsport on the M Sport versions
